When the kindergarten teacher told me I needed to work on cutting with my older one, I wanted to bury myself in the ground.
Me???
My mom says that when I was a girl she had to hide all the scissors in the house, because every time a pair fell into my hands I would cut up everything around me.
Today, let's see who hides the scissors from me.
I have at least three pairs I love, and I rotate between them. I also have one really good cutting knife, and when I give up on the scissors, I switch to it.
And somehow I never sat down with the girls and really taught them to cut. It felt like something you don't need to teach, it's innate. After all, I was born with scissors in my hand.
